It is important to project an image commensurate with the level of sophisticated technology being deployed to accurately diagnose this disease. The diagnostic tool being developed by the Focus on Lyme team is tremendously accurate, substantially more so than current diagnostic tools that stand at about a 50 percent accuracy rate. This tool measures RNA to find the elusive bacteria and the host of likely co-infections that can occur with one tick bite.
